Sometime last year I discovered the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi which is, in its most basic form, the appreciation of things that are weathered by time and nature and the beauty, serenity, solitude and peace that these things can emit.
I work mainly in neutral colours, my inspiration for this work was a rotting top I found by a stream and cleaned.
The blog shows the most recent work first, if you would like to see how I have arrived at this point start from the bottom of the blog and scroll up.
This body of work bears the name "Weathered by Nature"
